How Do I Program HomeLink®?

Programming your HomeLink® system is as quick and easy as pressing a few buttons in sequence. Follow these step-by-step instructions for more details:

1. There are three buttons on the HomeLink® unit, which is most commonly found on the ceiling of your car, above the center console. Simultaneously press and hold the first and third buttons until your car’s interior lights start flashing. This may take up to 20 seconds. It’s important to note that, once you’ve successfully programmed your garage door opener, pressing the first and third buttons will then act as the master reset, so you should not push them when programming additional devices in the future.
2. When the interior lights begin to flash, press and hold the button you wish to program while simultaneously pressing the open/close button on your garage door opener. Your interior lights should switch from a slow to rapid flash, indicating successful programming.
3. Go into your garage and press the “learn” button on your garage door opener.
4. Return to your vehicle and press the newly programmed button for at least two seconds. You may see your garage door opener’s lights flash, indicating that it is connecting.
